Alice Jean Magruder

Alice Jean Magruder (88) of Ravenna passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 22, 2022. She was born January  17, 1934 in Mantua, Ohio to Gladys (Parker) and Elmer Magruder. Alice was an active member of the Bethel Baptist Church and showed a great love for animals. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with friends and helping those in need. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Gordon Magruder, sisters Clyda Fisher and Mabel Hamilton. She is survived by her daughter Karla (Chris) Brown, 3 grandsons and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 4-8 PM Thursday February 3, 2022 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Private burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery Mantua, Ohio.  Donations in her memory can be made to the Portage County Animal Protective League .   Condolences and memories of Alice may be shared at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
