Alla Shaw

Alla Shaw, 80 years old, passed away peacefully, with family by her side on May 29, 2026. Alla was born April 8, 1946 in Ravenna Ohio. Alla graduated from Streetsboro High School in 1964 and received her Master’s Degree in Business from Bohecker College in Ravenna.

Alla was a Headstart bus driver for Portage County and a manager at a campground for many years in the 1990s. She was also a member of the American Legion of Streetsboro.

Alla loved camping, reading, taking trips with her grandchildren to see Christmas lights, and feeding the fish at the spillway in Pennsylvania. She also loved making projects with plastic canvas and crocheting.

Alla was preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Edna Rose, late husband Richard Shaw Sr., longtime partner Robert Kirk, former husbands Virgil Homan Jr. & Robert Brooks, sister Carol Castro, and grandson Corey Cline.

Alla is survived by her children, Virgil C Homan (Renee) of Newton Falls, Randall Homan of Ravenna, Crystal Richmond (Charles) of Leavittsburg, Robin Nolf (Mike) of Alliance, Rhonda Brooks of Ravenna, 20 grandkids, and 29 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 10am to 11am at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel, 9781 Page Rd Streetsboro, Ohio 44241 with funeral service to follow at 11am.
