Alvin E. "Jim" Graves

Alvin E. "Jim" Graves 78 of Edinburg died Friday, January 16, 2015. He was born August 12, 1936 in Murphy, NC to John Edgar and Asalee (Dockery) Graves. Jim is formerly of North Carolina and Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and has lived in Edinburg 41 years. He retired from Ford Motor Company where he was a press operator. Survivors include his wife of 55 years Orva "Dee" (Keaton), sons David Graves of Streetsboro, John (Billie) Graves of Westmoreland, TN and Dan (Lisa) Graves of Shalersville, grandchildren Janelle, Becky, Susan, Jacob and Emily, 9 great grandchildren, a twin sister Sue Lambert of Charlotte, NC and a brother Albert Graves of Murphy, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 3 brothers. Funeral services will be at 1 pm Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel with Reverend Greg Hogan officiating. Burial will follow in Edinburg Cemetery.
