Andrew David "Andy" Appleyard

Andrew David Appleyard (Andy), 77 passed on Friday April 3, 2020.

Andy was born June 18th 1942 in Lakewood, Ohio.  He attended John Marshall High School, Cleveland, Ohio, graduating in 1960.  Upon graduation he joined the United States Army, serving 1960-1963. Two years of his service was in Washington D.C. as a member of the White House Communication Agency (WHCA).  Completing his active service in 1963 he return home to Cleveland where he worked  and remained in the U.S. Army reserves, completing service in 1966.  In 1967 he enrolled in the University of Cincinnati, graduating in 1971 with a Bachelor of Business Administration.  He went on to work and live in Chicago, Illinois and Lake City, Florida before returning home to Ohio in 2013.

Andy enjoyed traveling by auto through out the United States and Canada having crossed the country more then once. He was an avid sports fan, following all major sports, especially baseball.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Mary (Kolaczko) Appleyard and siblings Jennifer Appleyard,  Mary Susan Kerata,  Danny Appleyard,  and James Appleyard.  He is survived by his siblings Deborah (Richard Lashley) Shorts,  Geoffrey (Jacque Savage) Appleyard,  Edward (Debra) Appleyard,  sister in-law Carol Appleyard and Brother in-law Ken Kerata.  As well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to the COVID - 19 virus, private  family services will be held.  Private burial will be in the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery Rittman,  Ohio.
