Anna Irene (Hanlon) Ricks

Anna Irene Ricks 96 of Rootstown died Saturday, August 28, 2010. She was born March 22, 1914 in Akron, Ohio to the late Ernest and Sarah (Robinette) Hanlon. Mrs. Ricks had lived in Rootstown since 1945, attended the Rootstown United Methodist Church and worked for Goodyear Aerospace in the 40's & 50's, the family dairy farm in the 50's & 60's and Vale Edge in the 70's. She was a member of the Rootstown 60+ Club, Randolph/Rootstown Friendly Neighbors, New Roots Garden Club, Coachman Camping Club, Good Sams Camping Club and several card clubs. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larimore in 1986 and a sister Alice Kocher. Survivors include her daughter Mary Ann (Herman) Greer of Rootstown, sons Kenneth (Roberta) Ricks of Rootstown and Gerald (Patty) Ricks of San Diego, CA, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be from 10:00 AM to time of services at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Reverend Philip Raynes will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
