 
  
 Anthony J. "Tony" Stronz 83 of Ravenna passed away Tuesday September 11, 2012 at his residence. He was born September 22, 1928 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Anthony and Myrtle (Dechant) Stronz and has lived most of his in Ravenna. Tony was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, a lifetime member of the Ravenna Elks and a veteran of the US Army. He retired from Saint Gobain, had worked at the Kent State Golf Course and volunteered at Robinson Memorial Hospital. Tony enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, boating, fishing and playing golf. Survivors include his wife of 59 years Carmella (Provenzo) Stronz, his children Scott (Suzanne) Stronz of Ravenna, JoAnn (Darren) Rozenek of Ellet, his grandchildren Jamie and A.J. Stronz, Rachel (Daniel) Witt, Connor and Maria Rozenek and his sister Nancy Phund of Girard. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Calling hours will be Thursday TONIGHT September 13, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Friday September 14, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Church with Fr. John Madden officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio . The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the RMH Hospice and Visiting Nurse or the American Cancer Society.
