Archibald "Archie" M. Mcmillan

Archibald M. "Archie" McMillan, 92, of Streetsboro, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna.  He was born February 8, 1931 in Rothesay, Isle of Bute, Scotland to John and Janet (Mathewson) McMillan. In early adulthood, Archie came to the United States to work and met his wife Dorothy.  They had five children and planted their roots in the Macedonia/Streetsboro area.  Archie was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and had worked as a machinist for SK Wellman. With 11 siblings, Archie cherished the times he was able to return to Scotland to visit family.  He also enjoyed keeping busy on his land, spending time with his grandchildren, and cheering on the Cleveland Indians and Browns.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy, his siblings (all of Scotland) Margaret Pollock, Agnes Stewart, John, Janet Galbraith, William, Elizabeth Muir, Anne Lohoar and in infancy, Tom and Jane.

Survivors include his children, Sandra McGregor (Tom), James McMillan (Stacy), Robert McMillan, David McMillan (Karen), and Brian McMillan, grandchildren Cody, Connor, Clay, Madison, Nicole and Cady, step great grandchildren Isaac, Eleanor and Bennett and his siblings in Scotland, Jimmy McMillan (Margaret) and Jean Mackirdy as well as many nieces and nephews also in Scotland.  A private family service will be held with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro.
