Arthur M Jones

Arthur M. Jones,  86, of Ravenna, passed away  on Monday, April 23, 2012 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 18, 1925 in Boone Hill, North Carolina, a son of the late, Ralph and Annie Leola (Hobbs) Jones. Arthur was a member of the Ravenna Assembly of God and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Rockwell International in Newton Falls, where he worked as a machine operator. Arthur loved hunting, fishing, bowling, and camping. He is survived by his daughters, Brenda (Rick) Buchanan of Snellville, Georgia and Freeda (Jim) Martin of Salisbury, North Carolina; sons, David (Diane) Jones of Atwater and Douglas (Amy) Jones of Canton; five grandchildren, Charlie Brian Buchanan, Jim Martin, Christa Lawrence, Sarah Hampton, and Sabrina Brautigan; eight great-grandchildren, Hunter Buchanan, Hayden Brautigan, Kyle Martin, Brody Brautigan, Jensen Lawrence, Jolean Hampton, Bria Buchanan, and Emiri Lawrence;  and sister, Peggy Riggs of Bridgeport. In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Jones. Calling Hours will be held TODAY from 6-8 PM, at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM with Rev. Gary Beck officiating. Interment will follow in Homeland Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the , American Heart Association, P.O.
