Arthur John Smalley

Arthur John "Arty" Smalley, 54, of Streetsboro passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at University Hospital in Twinsburg. He was born on April 25, 1957 in Ravenna to the late, Harry and Irene (Baker) Smalley. Arty was a member  of the American Legion Post #685, American Legion Riders, and the VFW Post #9716. he was an avid Harley Davidson rider and hunter, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Arty is survived by his wife of 12 years, Terri (Shaw) Smalley of Streetsboro; son, Todd Shaw of Streetsboro; grandsons, Todd Shaw, Jr. of Streetsboro and Anthony Russo; sisters, Honie Lee Milbank of Hanoverton, Harriette Bolen of Akron, Sarah Baniecki of Rootstown, and Pat Smalley of Rootstown; brother, Robert Smalley of Kimbolton; brother-in-law, Richard Shaw; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, Streetsboro Chapel, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11AM. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
