Avery "Shorty" H. Yeamans

Avery H. "Shorty" Yeamans, 68, of Ravenna, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2012 after a long illness. He was born on November 21, 1943 in Lorain to Bob and Shirley (Andress) Yeamans. Shorty was a school teacher for Tallmadge High School. He loved hobby trains and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Catherine (Lindsey) Yeamans of Ravenna; daughters, Kimberly (Greg) Johnson of Brimfield, Melissa (Theodore) McFrederick of Ravenna, and Lindsey (Larry) Brumit of Ravenna; five grandchildren, Alexandria and Emily Marek of Mantua, Hayley and DJ Elrod of Ravenna, and Avery Brumit of Ravenna; mother, Shirley Yeamans of Lorain; brother, Jerome Yeamans of Lorain; and many nieces and nephews. Shorty was preceded in death by his father and brother, Ronald Yeamans. Cremation has taken place.
