Barbara J (Cairns) Ward

Barbara J. Ward, 79, of Twinsburg, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Mt. Alverna Village. She was born in Cleveland on July 15, 1932 to the late Floyd Cairns and Pearl (York) Packard.  Barbara was retired from Kirby Vacuums where she worked as an Assembler and Machinist Operator. She has lived in Twinsburg for  the last 13 years and enjoyed reading, watching T.V. and eating out. She is survived by her  daughters, Susan (Richard) Tury of Aurora and Debra (Michael) Long of North Royalton; two grandchildren,  Bobbi Kiser and Phillip Long; sister, Beverly (Angelo) DeCaro of Medina; brothers, David and Vernon Cairns, both of Macedonia; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husbands, Mark Brobst and Jack Ward; and son, Mark. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 Pm at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, Streetsboro Chapel. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society,  10501 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH  44106.
