Benny Joe Strong, Jr.

Joe Strong, Jr. 41 of Ravenna passed away Friday July 23, 2010 at Walpole Island Ontario, Canada.  He was born July 10, 1969 in Bedford, Ohio to the late Benny Joe Strong, Sr and Sandra (Haenigis) Churchill.  Joe has lived in Ravenna the past year and a half and was formerly of Streetsboro.  He was working for the Michael Kodash Excavating in Mantua as a heavy equipment operator.  He was avid bowler and fisherman being a member of the Kent Lunker Luggers Bass Club.  Survivors include his wife Melissa (Schaaf) Strong whom he married April 3, 2010, children Jonathon, Samantha, Derrick and Jacob, brother Daniel, sister Tiffany, Step mother Mary all of Roming Shores, Uncle Jerry (Janet) Strong of Mantua, Aunt Pam (Bob) Kramer of Bainbridge, mother in law Marcy Schaaf of Rootstown, father in law Richard (Linda) Schaaf of Tallmadge,  brother in law Rodney (Alicia) Schaaf of Rootstown and many cousins.  Calling hours will be 5-8 PM Thursday July 29, 2010 at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel where funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday July 30, 2010 with Pastor Adam Landkrohn officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family c/o Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes 141 N.
