Bernice A Whittle

Bernice A. Whittle 98 of Streetsboro, OH formerly of Payson, AZ died Tuesday, February 5, 2013. She was born May 19, 1914 in Wellsville, Ohio to Orlando and Mary Elizabeth (Allison) Dick. She and her husband retired to Payson Arizona between 1977 and 2004 where she was active in the Payson Lioness and Payson Hopes Auxillary. She loved Payson and all of her friends there, returning to Portage County in 2004 for health reasons. Survivors include her daughters Patricia Hays of Shalersville, OH and Gwynne Soboslay of Streetsboro, grandchildren Brian Hays, Heather Hays and Patricia Outcalt, great grandchildren Paul (Renee) Hays, Heather L. Hays and Eric (Adrianne) Hays, 8 great great grandchildren, nieces , nephews, other family  and old friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Arthur C. Whittle, her parents, sisters Pauline Turley, Florence Ward, Dorothy McFaul and Dolores Casper and brothers Clarence and Alvin Dick. Memorial calling hours will be held from 4 to 7:30 PM Friday, February 8, 2013 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 PM Friday, February 8, 2013 at the funeral home.
