Betty L (Bantz) Hickman

Betty L. Hickman 88 of Rootstown passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. She was born December 20, 1923 in Dunkirk, Indiana to Rolla and Lola Bantz. She has lived in Rootstown since 1959 where she was a member of Edinburg United Church and worked for Ohio Bell where she retired after 34 years.  Betty enjoyed traveling to Williamsburg, and bowling. She will be missed by her loving husband Paul E. Hickman whom she married October 7, 1955, sisters Sally (Howard) Harris of Ashland, Pat Stanford of Casey, SC, JoAnn (Richard) Corn of Ashland, sister-in-law Rose Bantz of Savanna, OH, brothers Larry (Roma) Bantz of Ashland, and several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Ted and Don Bantz. Calling hours will be held from 6 - 8 PM Monday, June 11, 2012 at Short Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 12, 2012 with Pastor Robin Del Nagro officiating.  Burial will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna following the service.  Memorial donations can be made to Robinson Hospice or to the Edinburg United Church.
