Betty A. Lawson 72 of Ravenna died Sunday, April 10, 2011. She was born April 14, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to Henry and Kathryn (Bonk) Sender. Formerly of Kent, she has lived in Ravenna for the past 10 years and attended Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna. Survivors include her daughters Debbie (Daniel) Ricci of Kent, Tina (Matt) Hlad of Twinsburg, and Tammi (Jim) Nicholl of Solon, son David Lawson of Salem, 6 grandchildren and a sister Kathy (Neil Wakeman) Lewis of Hinkley. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Billy Lawson, and brothers Henry, Paul, Edward, Billy and Jim Sender. There will be no calling hours, a memorial mass will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna with Father John Michael Lavelle officiating. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery in Northfield. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 4630 Richmond Road, Cleveland, OH 44128 or the VNS & Hospice, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron, OH 44333-6188. Arrangements are being handled by Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
