Betty A. Janda 95 of Streetsboro has been called home to God on October 12, 2011. She was born June 7, 1916 in Mahwah, NJ to the late John and Anna (Begalla) Spotila. She was a caring homemaker and spent 10 years working for the Streetsboro school district. Betty was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church, and the Alter and Rosary Society. She will be sadly missed by her son, Jerry Janda, sisters, Veronica Hammary, Lillian Jesitus, Helen Petrosky, brother, Edward Spotila, 5 grandchildren, several great grandchildren who will all miss her spunk, feistiness and love. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Janda, daughters, Louise Fink, Lois Riley, sisters, Ann Homa, Margie Oran, brothers, Bill Spotila, and John Spotila. Calling hours will be held from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 PM TONIGHT, Friday October 14, 2011 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 15, 2011 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Streetsboro . Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery following the Mass. The Family would like to Thank Maplewood Care Center for the great care over the last 10 years of Betty's life.
