Betty Jean (Sturm) Caponi

Betty Jean Caponi 64 of North Ridgeville passed away peacefully Sunday, December 19, 2021 at UH Elyria Medical Center. She was born May 14, 1957 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Robert and Jean (Bower) Sturm. Betty was a graduate of Rootstown High School. She held many titles over the years, including administrative assistant for multiple insurance companies. Betty was a loving and loved daughter, wife,  mother, grandmother, and sister. Survivors include her husband of 39 years Darren, children Dennis (Sasha) Caponi and Lea (Mike) Shade, grandchildren Zachary, Madison, Carter and Jack Shade, siblings Roberta Sturm, Mary (David) Coorough, Robert (Barbara) Sturm, Deborah Cummings, Sharon (Thomas) Hartung, Russell Sturm and Lucille (John) Pierce and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 4 - 8 PM Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the funeral home with Reverend William Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown.
