Betty Lou (Wedge) Hoover

Southington, Ohio

Betty Lou Hoover passed away peacefully at Trumbull Memorial Hospital on April 10, 2023.  She was born on April 25, 1934 in Boynton, Pennsylvania.  She married the love of her life, Richard “Jim” Hoover in Frostburg, Maryland on March 31, 1954. Betty and Jim moved to the Warren area in 1955 where she worked for Van Huffel Tube Corp. and Kmart Distribution Center until retiring in 1997.  She was known as “Granny” to her grandsons, Brandon Chinn and Dalton Hoover and her great granddaughter, Callie Jo Hoover.  Betty had a passion for travel to Long Boat Key, Florida for many years where she enjoyed the sunshine and met many friends. Her friends considered her extremely friendly and amazing.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Jim” Hoover and is survived by her son Jeff (Denise) Hoover, grandsons, Brandon Chinn and Dalton Hoover, and great granddaughter, Callie Jo Hoover.  Betty requested that no services be held in her honor.   Condolences and memories of Betty may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
