Bill Elkins

Bill Elkins  53 of Rootstown passed away suddenly Sunday, October 23, 2011.  He was born August 15, 1958 in North Charleroi, PA to James William Elkins Sr. and Thelma (Naylor) Elkins.  He worked for Bird Technology Solon, Ohio for 31 years, and was a former member of  Portage Armature  Radio Club.  Survivors include his loving wife, Cynthia A. Elkins whom he married May 12, 1979, daughter, Rachelle (Matthew) Tooley of Kent, mother, Thelma Elkins of Ravenna, granddaughter, Caitlyn Davis, sisters, Pam (John) Watson of Mantua, Cynthia Elkins-Vansil of Stow, several nieces nephews, aunt,, Rosemary J. Elkins of Belle Vernon, PA,  mother and father -in-law, Alex and Bea Konyecsni of Ravenna, brother-n-law, James Kongecsni of Newton, Falls, and all his beloved pets. Preceded in death by his father, James Elkin Sr, grandparents, George and Eleanor Nayler, Raymond Elkins and Phebe Elkins. Calling hours will be held from 6 - 8 PM Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.  Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM Friday, October 28, 2011 with calling hours held from 12 - 1:00PM. Pastor Brian Oglesbee officiating. Burial will be in Edinburg Township Cemetery following the service.  In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Happy Trails or Roses Rescue animals shelters.
