Bishop John Burris Hicks, Sr.

Bishop John Burris Hicks, Sr., 86 of Ravenna went home to be with Lord and Savior on Sunday December 20, 2020 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio.  He was born in Ravenna on May 28, 1934 to the late Robert S. and Annabelle (Miller) Graham.  Bishop Hicks has lived in Ravenna the past seven years and had formerly lived in Cleveland, Ohio.  He was a non denominational minister for several area churches.  He had a passion and love of Jesus Christ and loved going to various churches.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Cleveland "Jack" Farris, Robert Stanley Hicks,Sr  Walter Lee and Hattie Mae Taylor.  Survivors include his children Del Laura Hicks, Bernita Jean Hicks, John B. Hicks, Jr., his brother Michael Graham and many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday December 29, 2020 at Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Rev, Hicks may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
