Blanche L. Hulak, 87, of Ravenna, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Longmeadow Care Center. She was born on April 4, 1926 in Bellaire, Ohio to the late, Charles and Frances (Majewski) Glinski. Blanche graduated from Lincoln High School in Cleveland and The Ohio State University. She taught kindergarten at Crestwood Schools in Mantua and also worked for Kent State University where she was a medical secretary for the director and retired after 30 years. Blanche had a genuine lust for life and had many hobbies and interests including, art, painting, fishing (she was the Women's Champion of large mouth bass at lake Hodgeson), horse racing, genealogy, reading, and doting on her family, especially her granddaughter. She was a Lincoln and Civil War Scholar and excellent with spelling and grammar skills. She is survived by her daughter, Victoria Sheridan of Kent; granddaughter, Andrea Krebs; brother, Charles (Nancy) Glinski, Jr of Willoughby Hills; nephew, Bruce Taylor of Euclid; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, William Hulak in 2010 and sisters, Helen Ponall, Sadie Taylor, Stella Matyja, and Elizabeth Glinski. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
