Bobby Gene Perkins

Bobby Gene Perkins 78 of Shalersville passed away Saturday April 17, 2010 at the Gardens of the Western Reserve.  He was born September 29, 1931 in Richwood, WV to the late Archie A. and Clara Mae (Gainer) Perkins. He retired in 1998 from Swagelok Solon after 22 years of working in maintenance. He then worked for McDonalds in Mantua and Taco Bell in Streetsboro after his retirement.   Bobby Served with the US National Guard, was a member of the Frost Road Chapel. His family was his hobby. Survivors include his loving wife whom he married, September 21, 1952, Leo Carol (Snyder) Perkins, daughters, Shelia Heaton of Mantua, Tara (Gary) Novak of Ravenna, sons, Jeff Perkins of Ravenna, Brian (Teresa) Perkins of Shalersville, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Gladys Hammonds.  Calling hours will be held from 2 -4 and 6-8 PM Monday, April 19, 2010 at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday April 20, 2010 at the Frost Road Chapel, 935 Frost Road Streetsboro, Ohio, with Rev. Charles Rhinehart officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery Shalersville. He always said "When I met Carol it was love at first sight., and we have 4 of the best children in the whole wide world."
