Bonnie J. (Havens) King

Our beloved Bonnie was called home on Tuesday, December 31st in the early morning hours after a tough battle with cancer after being placed on hospice at Robinson Memorial Hospital. A loving mom, a dedicated wife, selfless caregiver... sister, daughter, aunt, niece, she was loved by so many.

Bonnie resided in Ravenna with her husband, William, and two kids, Ashley and Zac. Before being diagnosed, Bonnie was working her dream job— helping people with disabilities at Portage Industries in Ravenna.

The daughter of Betty and Ben Havens, Bonnie grew up with her six other brothers and sisters in Rootstown, Ohio, and attended Rootstown High School and Maplewood Career Center, graduating in 1992.

She joins her mother and father in heaven, as well as several aunts and uncles, and two beautiful nieces, Ava Lynch and Brooklyn Havens.

She is survived by her husband, William King, two kids, Ashley and Zachary King, siblings, William [Linda] Havens, Becky [Paul] Smith, Tammy [Dave] Finefrock, Jeffrey [Ginger] Havens, Benjamin [JoAnn] Havens, Melody [Mark Kidd] Havens, Morticia [James] Williamson, Vernon [Jane] King, Lettie [Cecil] Keene. She also deeply loved all of her nieces and nephews (and greats, too!)— Danny, Cory, Ana, Trisha, Vickie, Michael, Ella, Greyson, Darin, Amanda, Serina, Sara, Kayla, Clayton, Darin Jr., Arya, Bella, Hannah, Nevaeh, Colton, Dausan, Sommer, Dalton, Dakota, Magnus, Chris, Rachel, Lindsey, Eric, Cory, Crystal, Dudley, Natalie, Leland, Jessica, Josh, Dylan, Breanna, Emily, Alex, Blake, and Maddie. Our dear Bonnie will be greatly missed.

Calling hours will be  Friday Janaury 3, 2020 from 5-8 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel where funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday Janaury 4, 2020 with Chaplain Bill Wisniewski officiating.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Bonnie may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
