Brenda Sue Thomas 49 of Diamond died Saturday April 30, 2016. She was born February 28, 1967 in Ravenna to Everett V Jr and Nancy (Blakeley) Hurd. She was a member of Edinburg United Church and worked in jewelry sales for Picciones, Sydmor’s and Zales. Survivors include her husband of 26 years Donald Thomas, daughters Julia Thomas at home and Lauren Thomas of Akron, son Brian Thomas at home, mother and stepfather Nancy (Chet) Wiley of Charlestown, brothers Michael (Lisa) Hurd of Charlestown and Mark Hurd of Paris Township and step sisters, Carey Meissner, Eva Wiley, Jean Wise and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Everett V. Hurd, Jr. Memorial calling hours will be from 5 PM until time of memorial service at 6:30PM at the Edinburg United Church, 4081Rock Spring Road, Ravenna, Ohio 44266. Pastor Timothy Paroz will officiate. Private burial will be in Charlestown Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the Edinburg United Church.
