Brigida (Polich) Sorbara

Brigida Sorbara 96 of Ravenna, passed away Wednesday June 1, 2016 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna. She was born January 7, 1920 in Portigliola, Italy to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Martelli) Polichena. She has lived in Ravenna since 1958 and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna. Mrs. Sorbara had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed cooking, where she was known for her sauce and bread making. Survivors include her children Rose (Tony) Madden of Brimfield, Mary (Mario) Caruso of Pittsburgh, Sylvia (Savario) Gratteri of Vallejo, CA, Carl (the late Tita) Sorbara of Ravenna, Mike Sorboro of Ravenna, Lenny (Tami) Sorboro of Brimfield, 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Natale Sorbara. Calling hours will be Saturday June 4, 2016 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral services at 12 Noon at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Father David Misbrenner officiating.
