Bruce Benton Broadwater 50 of Shalersville, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. He was born December 20, 1959 in Ravenna to Floyd Ivan and Evelyn May (Gardner) Broadwater. Bruce served in the US Army. He worked for Parker Hannifin in Ravenna for over 20 years, was a member of the Ravenna Moose, enjoyed playing golf with his fellow workers in a golf league, and attended St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Stow. Survivors include his loving wife, Paula (Teglovic) Broadwater, whom he married January 26, 1985. daughter Samantha Anne Broadwater, son Joshua Robert Broadwater both of Mantua, mother, Evelyn May Earls of Streetsboro, sister Holly Kocis of Streetsboro, brothers, Michael of Kent, Dennis of Garrettsville, Randy of Copley, Rick of Tamp, FL, and his grand daughter, Jennifer Marie Broadwater. he was preceded in death by his father Floyd Ivan Broadwater. Calling hours will be held from 4-8 PM Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Shorts Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Family will receive guest from 10 - 11 AM Thursday, August 5, 2010 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 3725 Kent Road Stow, OH 44224, prior to the 11:00 AM service with Revered Arthur Cubbon Jr officiating. Burial will be held a later date in Evergreen Cemetery Streetsboro, OH.
