Carl "Eddie" Dean

Carl E. "Eddie" Dean 65 of Palmyra passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023 at his home. He was born June 8, 1957 in Ravenna, Ohio to Eathel and Janie (Wiggins) Dean. Eddie was a concrete finisher for Calvin Sapp Concrete, Tallmadge Asphalt, Cementech and Xtreme Elements.  Eddie had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed his frequent hunting trips with his best friend Gary.  Also, in his younger years, he enjoyed coaching his sons baseball and football teams.  Survivors include his wife of 38 years Joanne (Sapp), children Nick (Christine) Dean and Kyle Dean grandchildren Leah, Cora, Mya and Dustin and sisters Debbie (John) Brown and Carol Boling. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Robbie Dean.  He will be deeply missed by family and friends. Calling hours will be from 5 PM to 7 PM Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel and from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 11 AM Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the funeral home.
