Carl A. Formick, 82, of Streetsboro, OH passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the Medina Hospice of The Western Reserve. He was born October 28, 1942 in Cleveland, OH to Charles and Lottie (Delsky) Formick. At 17, Carl met Patricia Walker and it was love at first sight for him. A few years later, they secretly cruised off in Carl’s ‘57 Chevy and eloped on March 11, 1963. Together, they raised their three children in Streetsboro. Carl worked in construction for many years, and later owned his own business, Formick Drywall. He volunteered as a CCD teacher at St. Joan of Arc Church, organized the annual Streetsboro Kiwanis car shows, and was an International Car Show Association judge. After retirement, Carl continued to stay busy restoring classic cars, collecting and selling vinyl records, and spending time outdoors. Carl will be deeply missed by his beloved wife; children Denise (Rick) Sheridan, Michael (Kerry) Formick, and Danielle (Brian Gallegos); grandchildren Michael, Ashley, Madison, and Sophia; sister Carol (Tim) Haswell; as well as extended family and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ronald Formick, and sister Linda (Formick) Manning. In honoring his wishes, he will be cremated, and no services will be held. Condolences and memories of Carl may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
