Carl L. Long, 88, of Brimfield, formerly of Randolph, died Monday, May 25, 2015. He was born February 13, 1927 in Magnolia, Ohio to Jacob and Ella (Rohn) Shear. Mr. Long was a US Army veteran, worked as a warehouse man for Eaton Corp., belonged to the Solon V.F.W. #1860 and volunteered at Outlook Pointe in Ravenna. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Kathryn M. (Dorlini), daughters Carol Ann (Kurt) Davis of FL, Debra Fiorilli of Brimfield, Donna Ford (Stephen Hocevar)of Brimfield, sons Thomas (Debbie) Long and Carl James (Audrey) Long both of FL, Bill Fiorilli of Streetsboro, 25 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and a brother George Long of Kenton, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Marge Trucinski, Velma Gibbs and Laverne Zimmerman and a brother Wilbur Shear. Calling hours will be from 12 - 2 p.m. and 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2015 at the funeral home with grandson, Daniel Larlham leading the prayer service and delivering the eulogy. Entombment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.
