Carl D. "Popeye" Large

Carl D. "Popeye" Large 82 of Ravenna passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020 at UH Portage Medical Center In Ravenna. He was born September 1, 1937 in Montcoal, WV to Earnest and Addie (Price) Large. Carl was a US Air Force veteran and worked as a foreman at LTV Steel. Survivors include his children Carl "Del" (Kathleen) Large, Jr., Ronald (Gabby) Large and Lori (Greg) Balbierz, 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, caregiver and former wife Nancy Large and a brother James Large. He was preceded in death by his parents, children Ricky Large, Debra Inge, Vicky Houska and Clovia Lee Ann Large and siblings Clifford, Susie, Gloria, Alva, Ada Mae and Glenna. Private family calling hours and services will be held with burial in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
