Carol A. Cain, 81, of Peninsula, passed away Tuesday June 4th, 2024, at her residence. She was born December 11th, 1942, in Bedford, Ohio to the late Jack and Olive (Sherman) Cox. Survivors include her husband Robert R. Cain whom she married August 25th, 1990, her daughter Linda (Alex) Loychik, her grandchildren Thomas (Rudee)Verh, Stephen (Jackie)Verh, Ashley (Ray) Hornyak and her great grandchildren Kayla, Ashton, Liberty, Negan, and stepbrother Joe (Clara) Cain. Carol loved spending time with her family and pets. She was sweet, loving and kind, always offering to help her family. She was often referred to as being fun and silly. And was lovingly called silly grandma by her grandchildren. Carol also loved to dance. She loved Elvis Presley, his movies but mostly his music. She and her husband had a DJ business and they also managed several singers/entertainers over the years and an Elvis Impersonator Chuck Alan who became like family to her. Carol has lived in Peninsula for the past five years and was formerly of Stow. She had worked for K&M International in the warehouse for many years, where she then retired from. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Thomas Cox, Jack Cox, Jr., Glenn Cox, and Olive (Oddie) Hudak, stepsisters Gail Hackney, Darlene Wardle, stepbrother Bryan Cain and Stepson Richard Cain. In honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and memorial calling hours will be held at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel, June 10th, 5pm-7pm with a burial service on June 11th, 11am at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville. A Family Gathering and luncheon will be provided at her daughter’s home in Northfield on Tuesday after services.
