Carol L. (Johnson) Boyle

Carol L. Boyle, 73 of Ravenna, passed away Thursday October 12, 2023 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio.  On May 12, 1950, She was born in South Dayton, New York to the late Edward and Cecilia (Swartz) Johnson.  Carol had retired from Kent State University and also worked for Twin Star Bowling Alley in Kent.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James R. Boyle, Jr. on October 15, 2017, step children  Genive Davis, James Davis, Michael Boyle and siblings  William Johnson, Alice Brady.  Survivors include her sons Richard A. Boyle, William W. (Hope) Boyle, John Boyle, her grandchildren Izaiah, Xzayvier, Blake, Aaron, Allen, Amber, Angel, Jaimie, Shawn, Catherine and siblings Dorothy Dent, Albert Johnson, Thelma (Richard)Wilson and Eleanor Sears.  Calling hours will be Saturday October 21, 2023 from 11 Am until time of the funeral services at 12 Noon at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Private burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Carol may be shared at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
