Carol A. Vanvalkenberg

Carol A. VanValkenberg, 78 of Ravenna, passed away peacefully into the arms of her savior Jesus Christ Monday February 10, 2025. She was born on October 4, 1946 in Winstead, Connecticut to the late Herbert and Eunice (Harris) Deloy. Carol has lived in Ravenna for over 50 years and was a member of the Ravenna Assembly of God Church for 45 years. She had worked at the church for 28 years as a cook and teacher. Carol has also worked at Oak Rubber in Ravenna on the production line. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughters Linda VanValkenberg, Jeanne Proper and granddaughter Carisa Legg. Survivors include her husband of 45 years Earl J. VanValkenberg whom she married Nov. 3, 1978, her children Robert (Heather) VanValkenberg, Barbie Walters, Michele (Michael) Braddock, Lori VanVallkenberg, Vancee, Brothers Jeffrey (Allynda), Gregory (Cathy), Herbert (Eva) Jr.,  grandchildren Gregory, Joshua, Gabrielle, Jonathan, Makayla, Savanna, Rachel, Kc, Jess, Brent, Aaron, Stacey, Ryan, Bobby, Jess, Amanda, Christopher,  and  great grandchildren Xander, Kaiden Jay, Zeldaleah, Gydion, Elena, Dalton, Blaire, Cobain, Kyzer, Vayda, Viola, Kiara, Brooke, Lilith, Kairi, Jacilynn, Zachery, Alexis, Brandyn, and  great great grandchildren Willliam, Lillian, Aspen, Mersadie and Ashton. Calling hours will be Monday, February 17, 2025 from 11:30AM until 12:30PM at the Ravenna Assembly of God Church with a celebration of life service following at 12:30PM. The family would like to especially thank Debbie and Randy Ferrari who opened their home and their wonderful care of Carol in her final days and throughout her journey.
