Caroline Ashly (Bower) Minnich

Caroline Ashley "Cary" Minnich 84 of Ravenna passed away Monday May 10, 2010 at her residence. She was born December 12, 1925 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Harold and Kathryn Bower. Cary has been a life long Ravenna resident and had worked at the Ravenna Arsenal during WW II and was a secretary for Shorts Funeral Homes. She was member of Grace Episcopal Church in Ravenna where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the choir. Survivors include her husband of 63 years Wilbur "Bud" Minnich, sons Stephen Minnich of Colorado, David Minnich of Texas, one grandchild and brother William Bower of Colorado. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Ned Bower and sister Mary Geyer. Calling hours will be 5-7 PM Friday May 14, 2010 at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday May 15, 2010 at Grace Episcopal Church in Ravenna with Rev. Carol Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.
