Caroline (Yelenosky) Smetak

Caroline Smetak 71 of Streetsboro passed away Saturday January 29, 2011 at her residence. She was born August 27, 1939 in Scottsdale, PA to the late William and Anna (Bohnovic) Yelenosky. She has lived in Streetsboro since 1978 and had worked at St. Lukes in Cleveland, Anna Marie Nursing Home in Aurora and then at the Woodlands at Robinson in Ravenna as a nurse until she retired. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church in Streetsboro. Survivors include her sons Frank Smetak, Jr. of Aurora, Ohio, Shawn Smetak in Ravenna Twp, OH, David Smetak of Streetsboro, Jonathan Smetak of Kent, grandchildren Alyssa and Evan, brothers William Yelenosky of Cleveland, Richard Yelenosky of Walton Hills, John Yelenosky of Brecksville, James Yelenosky of Macedonia, Donald Yelenosky of Willoughby, sisters Eleanor Lach of North Royalton, Anna Mae Thompson of Maple Hts, Mary Ann Robare of Parma Hts., and Dorothy Deirmaier of Centerville, PA. several nieces, nephews and the father of her children Frank Smetak, Sr. of Rootstown. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Peg Carmichael and brother Bernard Yelonosky. Calling hours will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday February 3, 2011 at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Friday Gebruary 4, 2011 at St. Joan of Arc Church Streetsboro, Ohio with Fr. Pat Ferraro officiating. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery Northfield, Ohio.
