Carolyn L. Payne

Carolyn L. Payne, 77 passed away Monday August 17, 2015 at Longmeadow Care Center in Ravenna, Ohio.  She was born July 26, 1938 in Ravenna to the late Pierre and Esther (Howard) Payne.  Carolyn has been a lifelong Portage County Residence and had worked at Portage Industries.  She participated in the life of the First Christian Church in Ravenna and also Happy Day School.  Survivors include her brother Duane Payne of Ravenna, 24 nieces and nephews, 51 great nieces and nephews and 62 great great nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Richard Payne, Oliver Payne and sisters Irene Wymer, Paula Kline and Marian Nelson.  Calling hours will be from 1:00 PM until time of funeral services at 2:00 PM on Thursday August 20, 2015 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Rev. Laurie Metzko officiating.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.  The family requests that memorials may be made to Happy Day School 2500 Brady Lake Rd. Ravenna, Ohio.
