Catherine (Detweiler) Jarze

Catherine Jarze, 67 of Freedom Township was born on October 1, 1951 in Middlefield, Ohio  to the late Gideon and Lydia (Miller) Detweiler.  CJ  passed away after a short battle with cancer surrounded by family on Monday November 25, 2019.  Survived by her husband of 27 years, Jerome "Jerry" M. Jarze, her children Christopher (Jana) Rousey of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Tamara Rousey of Windham, Claudia (Michael) Shorder of Bellview, Florida, her step daughters, Wendy (Greg) Michell of Sagamore Hills, OH, Angela Jarze of Jefferson, OH,  eight grandchildren, three great grandsons, her brothers Bill (Fannie) Detweiler , Martin (Lucy) Detweiler  both of Mechanics town,  OH, Melvin (Karen) Detweiler of Chardon, Albert (Betty) Detweiler of Mesopotamia and Ervin Detweiler of North Bloomfield and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded to her heavenly home by her parents and one nephew.  Catherine loved reading, jig saw puzzles and her passion was her church.  She helped out with Christmas Child Shoe Boxes and foreign missions.  Calling hours will be Wednesday from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 12 noon at The Ravenna First Church of God with Pastor Todd Huston officiating.  Her final resting place  will be Drakesburg Cemetery  Freedom Twp., Ohio.   Condolences and memories of Catherine may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
