Charlene R (Stessman) Twark

Charlene R. Twark, 88, of Kent, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at her home with her husband and daughter, Caeli, by her side. She was born in Panama, Iowa on July 19, 1931 to the late Frederick and Caroline (Wilmes) Stessman.  Mrs. Twark lived in Kent since 1966, after she retired from Mutual of Omaha and became a homemaker, raising her three daughters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Rose Mangiameli and Frederick "Bud" Stessman.  She leaves, to cherish her memory, her husband Allan J. Twark, whom she married on July 3, 1965, her daughters, Jill (Arno Forst) Twark, Lisa (Kevin Hughes) Twark, Caeli Twark, her siblings David Stessman, Jeanette Bolamperti, twin sisters Carolyn Nykaza and Colleen Graeve, Joan Gonzalez, Dennis Stessman, and Duane Stessman. Calling hours will be from 6-8 PM, Thursday, November 14, 2019, and on Friday at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes, Ravenna Chapel, from 10 AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Ravenna, Ohio, with Father William Kraynak officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ravenna, Ohio. Condolences and memories of Charlene may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com. Charlene was a truly beautiful person—modest, patient, caring, wise, and hospitable to all. We will always remember the precious moments with her. She knew what was important in life—not wealth or image, but people and personal relationships. She valued others, was interested in their lives, and made notes about them to remember names and facts on the next visit. We felt her love in all the time we spent with her. She will have a place in heaven, because all her life, she acted as God´s child.
