Charles W. Elledge, Sr. 86 of Ravenna, passed away Monday February 6, 2017 at Brookdale of Stow Assisted Living. He was born march 14, 1930 in Athens, Alabama to the late Parker and Hattie (Massey) Elledge. Mr. Elledge has lived in Ravenna most of his life and retired from the Chrysler Corporation and the ministry. He was a member of Stow Baptist Church and in his younger days enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his daughters Cathy (Tim) Jones of Stow, Debra Stone of Lucas, Ohio, his grandchildren Nathaniel Jones, Andrew Jones, Sarah Jones, Seth Stone, Brittany Bennett, his great grandchildren Kayla, Emril, Joshua, Tia, Jakob, Cillian, Tyler, Lucy, Arabella and Brianna. He is also survived by his siblings Billie Thomas, Shirley Cates, James Elledge, Sylvia Veatch and Violet Miller. In addition to his parents , he was preceded in death by his wife Goldie Elledge on September 23, 2016 after 62 years of service, his son Charles W. Elledge, Jr. and siblings Mary Holly Elledge, Parker Elledge, Jr. Lynn Elledge, Rosemary O'Neill, Robert Elledge and Julia Schiffer. Calling hours will be Thursday February 9, 2017 from 12 Noon until time of funeral services at 1:30 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel. Pastor Tim Huth from the Stow Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio. Our family would like to thank Dr. Raux, Dr. Tsai and the heart clinic and all their staff for the great care of our Dad over the years. We would also like to thank Stow Brookdale Senior Living and Crossroads Hospice Care for the care, respect and compassion they gave to our Dad the last year and a very special thank you to Our Angels Tracy and Celeste.
