Charles Dougan Jenks

Charles "Skip" Dougan Jenks , 66, of Kent, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2010 in his home. He was born on July 15, 1943 in Erie, to the late, Charles and Opal ( Dougan ) Jenks . Charles graduated form Ravenna High School in 1960 and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He married Suzanne Mona Beaulieu on July 16, 1966. Charles worked in the Aerospace industry until he retired from Specialty Hose Corporation in 2008. He attended Grace Episcopal Church and was a member of the American Legion Post 496. He was passionate about his love for his family, friends and pets. Charles is survived by his son, Michael Jenks of Canton; sister Patricia Williams of Ravenna ; brother, David (Diana) Jenks of Chicago, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife, Suzanne; and son, Charles D. Jenks , Jr. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8 PM at the Shorts- Spicer - Crislip Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at the Grace Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
