Charles F. McConahy, 89, of Ravenna, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Gardens of the Western Reserve. He was born on January 29, 1923 in Oberlin, Ohio to the late, Chester and Myrtle (Wise) McConahy. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. He was a Multi Crew Supervisor for Nelson Tree Service, a Boy Scouts Leader, coached Little League Baseball and loved camping. Charles is survived by his daughter, Karen (Thomas) Hager of Ravenna; son, Richard (Edna) McConahy; five grandchildren, Teena Hawkins, Malinda Easley, Thomas Hager, Erich McConahy, and Daniel McConahy; 10 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 12 PM at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel. Inurnment will follow in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
