Charles R Pearce

Charles R. Pearce, 75 of Edinburg , was called Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 6, 2012. He was born on June 19, 1936, in Mars, Pennsylvania to the late , Walter and Estella Pearce. Charles attended the Deerfield Evangelical Friends Church, and was a truck driver for Circle Transport, where he transported the football equipment for Ohio State University.  He was a member  of  the Charity Lodge #530, Mile Branch Grange #933, Valley of Canton Scottish Rite, and the Akron  Shriners. He also owned a tire shop in Ravenna, and was an avid Ohio State Fan. Charles is survived by his wife of 11 years, Fay (Stumphf) Pearce of Edinburg; daughters, Catherine (Bruce) Pivnicka of Cleveland and Christina (Sean) Bruce of Atwater; sons, Johnnie Pearce of St. Petersburg, Florida and Josh Pearce od Edinburg;  six granddaughters, Christina, Nikki, Elizabeth, Linzy, Miranda, and Allison; sister, Joyce (Ron) Heginbotham of Mountain Lake Park, Maryland; and many nieces and nephews.  A special Thank You to the nurses and staff at Robinson  Memorial Hospice and Dr. Yanelli for their support and care. CALLING HOURS WILL BE HELD TODAY FROM 3-7 PM at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel. A masonic service will be held at 2:45 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 AM, with Pastor Jody Hill officiating. Interment will take place in Edinburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Deerfield Evangelical Friends Church, 1261 State Route 14, Deerfield, OH 44411.
