Charles E. Proctor, Jr.

Charles E. Proctor, Jr. 85 of Kent passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna. He was born January 20, 1935 in Ravenna to Charles E. Sr. and Virginia (Clark) Proctor. Charles was a US Marine Corp veteran and retired from Kent City Schools where he was a teacher.  Survivors include his children Chuck Proctor, Elizabeth (Brett) Wilkinson, Jacqueline Proctor, Michelle Proctor, Julia(Kevin) Howard, Jason (Kris) Proctor and Jeremiah (Jessie) Proctor, 29 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and siblings Jule Hamilton and Judy Gatson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margaret (Newman), son Eric N. Proctor , sisters  Janet, Carol, and Jacqueline, and brother David.  Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held Friday, August 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna, Ohio with Reverend Tim Paroz officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
