Charles "Yogi" Sapp

Charles “Yogi” Sapp our beloved brother, uncle, and friend, departed this life to be with our Lord and Savior on April 1, 2023 unexpectedly.  On April 6, 1960, Chuck was born in  Ravenna, Ohio to the late Sterling and Shirley (Liston) Sapp. He was very skilled in his trade of Carpentry and Roofing. In his younger years he worked alongside his father for Sapp’s Heating & Cooling. Survivors include his two sisters: Diana Sapp Moore (her partner David Snow) of Canton and sister LeeAnn (William) Ferguson Jr of Ravenna. Nieces & nephews Steven (Megan) Moore, Justin Moore, Katie (RJ) Smith, Natalie (Tyler) Phelps, Brian Ferguson, as well as his great nieces & nephews: Britnee (Steve), Khord, Kennedy, Matthew, Tanner, Collins, and Sawyer. He also leaves behind his childhood love & ex-wife Bonnie (Don)Pugh and longtime soulmate Ellen Baird who both loved him truly from their hearts and souls in this life and beyond.  He was an alumni of Ravenna High School & Maplewood JVS in 1978.  Chuck did play sports back in the day especially as a “baseball catcher”, he enjoyed fishing, playing cards, darts, pool, camping, swinging a hammer, and  drinking beer amongst the small circle he kept. Cremation has taken place and has been entrusted by Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral home, no services will be held.  He is flying in eternal peace like a “Free Bird”
