Cindy L. Wilson-Gray

Cindy L. Wilson-Gray 67 of Cuyahoga Falls passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Green Village Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Green, Ohio after a courageous battle with lung cancer.  She fought her battle in true Cindy fashion.  She was born March 7, 1957 in Ravenna, Ohio to James and Mona (Bregant) Wilson.  Survivors include her sister Cathy (Richard) Ruggles, niece Caci (Nicholas) Thompson, great nieces Emersyn and Madisyn Thompson, great nephew Kolton Thompson as well as numerous close friends and co-workers.  She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mona Wilson; uncle/aunt, Harry “Bud” and Ethel Miner as well as several other aunts, uncles and cousins. Cindy retired from Ravenna Police Department in 2000 where she worked as a dispatcher for over 20 years.  In her time at RPD, she became exceptionally close to her RPD family and always looked out for her officers.  Most recently, Cindy worked as a medical secretary at Cleveland Clinic Akron General.  She was a worthy advisor of Rainbow Girls, member of the American Legion and Fraternal Order of Police.  She had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed camping and traveling, especially out West.  She also had a love for ancestry/genealogy, Native American and Irish culture, highland cows and the show Bridgerton.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends. The family would like to send a sincere Thank You to the nurses and staff at Crossroads Hospice and Green Village Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.  The appreciation for their exceptional care provided to Cindy in her final days could never be expressed fully. Cremation has taken place and burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.  Cindy did not want any formal services, but rather a celebration of life.  A celebration of life will take place September 28, 2024 from 12pm-5pm at The American Legion Post 496 at 1945 Mogadore Rd. in Kent, Ohio.  In lieu of flowers, the family would ask for donations to Crossroads Hospice or American Cancer Society
