Claudia Jane (Burt) Burt-Green

Claudia Burt Green, 76, of Ravenna, passed away Monday September 29, 2025 at her home.  On March 6, 1949, she was born in Canton, Ohio to the late Frank and Edwina (Moore) Burt. She went to Ohio University and graduated from YSU with an Associate's degree in nursing and was also certified as an ER Nurse.  Claudia worked and retired  after 30 years of service from UH Portage (Robinson Memorial Hospital) and then came back for six years as a visiting nurse.  She met her husband of  46 years while working sports car races an Nelson Ledges Road Course, where she was the track nurse before becoming a turn marshal. Her and John enjoyed working many races between April and the end of October.  Together they purchased  a motorhome and enjoyed traveling the country after her first bout of cancer.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her bothers Russell and Martin Burt.  She leaves her husband, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish her memory.  In honoring Claudia's wishes, cremation has taken place and memorial calling hours will be Wednesday October 8, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Private burial will take place in North Canton Cemetery.  John has asked that any donations please go to the Portage County Animal Shelter.  Please visit www.sscfuneralhomes.com to offer a condolence, share a memory or light a candle.
