Clyde "Lefty" Tipton

Clyde "Lefty" Tipton 77 of Newburgh Heights died Friday, March 1, 2013. He was born September 18, 1935 in Somerset, PA to the late Frank and Margie (Miller) Tipton. Lefty was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War and was the owner and operator of Browns Tavern in Newburgh Heights. He also was a member of the Masons, VFW and Shriners. Survivors include his sister Maryetta Mowl of Washington, PA and brother Frank Tipton of Streetsboro, OH. Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 2 PM to 5 PM at Fortuna Funeral Home, 7076 Brecksvlle Road, Independence, OH. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel.
