Dale A. Biltz

Dale A. Biltz 86 of Newport News, VA and formerly of Ravenna passed away Friday December 7, 2012 at the Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA. He was born June 26, 1926 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Albert and Anna (Lange) Biltz. He retired from O.D.O.T. #4 in Ravenna and had been a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ravenna. Mr. Biltz was a member of the DAV in both Ravenna and Virginia , the Ravenna VFW and had help start the Charlestown Volunteer Fire Department. He served his country in the US Army during WW II. He is survived by his wife Evelyn "Evie" (Hansen) Biltz whom he married in December 30, 1945, his daughter Kathy M. (Steve) Crossett of Newport News, VA. grandchildren Dawn (Bob) Griffith, Amanda Ann Crossett and a very close family friend that they raised as a daughter Norma (Dave) Bice and her children , Jaime (Erin) Timmons, Kevin (Song) Bice and their child Katie Bice and brother Tom Biltz of Akron. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Terry in 1967 and brother Duane. There will be no calling hours, graveside services with military honors by the US Army and VFW Post 1055 will be 1:00 PM Tuesday December 18, 2012 at Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio. The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Charlestown Volunteer Fire Department or the Salvation Army.
