Dale Timothy Kelly

Dale Timothy Kelly, 68 of Ravenna, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021 at his residence. He was born on August 23, 1952 in Bedford, Ohio to the late Glenn T. and Rose A. (Balogh) Kelly. Dale was a retiree from the Macedonia Police and had worked at the Portage County Sherriff's office as a Chief Deputy. In May of 2018, Dale was promoted to Chief Deputy and started with the Portage County Sherriff's office in January of 2009 as a Major in Charge. Outside of working in the sheriff's office, he enjoyed flying and was a certified airplane and helicopter pilot. In addition to his parents, Dale's brother Tom passed away on August 7, 2021. Dale is survived by his girlfriend Wendy Borbely and her daughter Amanda, he was known as Grampy to Jaxsen, Rio and Zyrie, his brother Allen (Sally) as well as many family members and friends.
