Daniel Joseph Appleby

Daniel J Appleby 27 of Kent died Sunday 7/14/2013 at home. He was born September 10, 1985 at Akron City Hospital to Ralph Bedell Appleby III & Denise (Hesse) Appleby. After graduation from Stow Monroe Falls High School he joined the Navy and served as a Sonar technician. He then went on to receive his associates degree at Stark State College in Automotive Technology. Dan was ASE certified and loved to “wrench”. He helped so many friends & family by fixing their car problems for little or no charge. That made him very happy. He had the gift of helps. Using it for so many while entertaining us with his crazy sense of humor. Danny was employed at Components & Equipment Int’l Inc. He loved his boss Ted, he loved Cheri and his crew. His mood revolved around the mood of the shop. Dan is survived by parents Ralph & Denise (Hesse) Appleby of Kent. brothers, Sam (Sarah) Appleby of Akron, and Alex Appleby of Ravenna. In addition he is survived by many family & friends including his beloved Lindsey Anne Steenburg. Memorial calling hours will be held from 5:00-8:00 Thurs, July 18, 2013 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Friday July 19, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastor Wally Kukuk officiating. Burial will follow the service at Standing Rock Cemetery.
